I also have a Bachelors degree in Psychology, including 12 credits of child development. I am Infant- Adult CPR/ First Aid certified. I have a SIDS prevention certificate, ensuring safe-sleep. 

My educational theory is play-based. I enjoy getting on the floor with children to play , building a bond with them, singing, stroller walks, reading books to them, and talking to them to build vocabulary. I have introduced solid foods / new foods as well as helped families with sleep training. I believe children thrive off of routines so I maintain the babies natural daily schedule, while being open to change.

Highly recommend! Shannon was very helpful with our three month old for a period of about three weeks during nighttime coverage. One of the things we really appreciated about Shannon was the way she approached working with our baby. For starters, she asked us lots of questions to understand her quirks, personality, and specific eccentricities. Only after hearing about our baby and learning what our goals were, did Shannon offer up solutions and ideas from her own experience that she would recommend. During these three weeks, Shannon was helpful in instituting healthy sleep practices, habits, and rhythms for our baby and for us. The baby is sleeping better and we look forward to keeping these healthy rhythms in place.
I would also note the communication with Shannon was easy and direct. She was very familiar with applications for documentation and we used Huckleberry to document any activities for our baby during the night. In fact, Shannon taught us a few little tricks to use while using the Huckleberry app.

Shannon did an excellent job with my newborn for overnight shifts. He was born premature so came with his own challenges but Shannon was trustworthy and careful with him which allowed me and dad to get some actual sleep! 

Shannon is very caring and sweet with our two month old. She has been our night nurse for one and a half months now and is always highly communicative and reliable. She’s also very patient with our little one’s colic and tummy troubles. I’m so glad we found her and highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a genuine caregiver for their little ones, overnight or otherwise.

Shannon provided overnight help with our 5 week old and was wonderful. She is reliable, a good communicator, and our baby was very happy in her care. 

Shannon was wonderful and helped us out last minute with babysitting our 3 kids! She was professional, courteous, and the kids really liked her. We will definitely reach out to hire her again! :)

Shannon did an excellent job babysitting for my 11-month-old. She played and interacted with her happily, gave her food and milk, and made sure she was happy all day. She was communicative and sent very cute photos and videos along the way. I would recommend Shannon to anyone needing a sitter for their little one.

Shannon did a great job with our toddlers and was very flexible and available on short notice. She was very responsive and had a great attitude and the girls had a great time with her!

Shannon babysat my two year old son. She immediately connected with him and had him laughing and playing. She was communicative, punctual, courteous, professional, and adept at dealing with my toddler. 

I needed a babysitter for my then 10 month old son while my nanny was unavailable. Shannon was prompt, communicative, and I was very impressed by her professional background in education. She showed up reliably, made keen observations such as which books he appeared to favor, and send text and photo updates without prompting! I’ll definitely be looking to her first should we need a fill-in babysitter again. ❤️

Shannon is a wonderful tutor and mentor for my two nieces. She has provided them with excellent teaching support over the past few months. She also genuinely care for her students. She is compassionate and patient, and very supportive. She takes the time to get to know each student individually and tailors her interactions and lessons to meet their needs.
