About Shayla

Hi! My name is Shayla. I'm 20 years old and have about 4 years of experience working with children, including time in an after-school program. I'm CPR and BLS certified, have my Associate's degree, and will be starting nursing school this fall. I currently work as a Patient Care Technician on a Mother-Baby unit, so caring for infants and supporting families is something I'm very familiar with. Growing up surrounded by nieces, nephews, and younger cousins has given me lots of hands-on experience keeping kids engaged and entertained. I love planning fun activities like outdoor play, arts and crafts, games, and story time. I'm also happy to help with light housekeeping like tidying up, dishes, and organizing toys. My goal is to create a safe, positive environment where kids can have fun and parents can feel at ease. I'm responsible, dependable, and love building positive connections with families I work with.
