About Shelby

As a Teacher at Lightbridge Academy, my responsibilities included supporting the lead teacher in daily classroom instruction, supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being, assisting with activities and routines, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and building positive relationships with both children and parents. Starting at me teaching the age of 3 weeks and ending at 18-year-olds within the dance studio I also taught at. I also know how to teach my 1-year-olds sign language. I was also a dance teacher for the past few years and have worked in these roles for several years while attending Morgan State University. I've grown up babysitting and assisting my coach as a dancer so i'm learning towards something like that while I finish my last year in school. The reason for leaving/considering leaving is due to distance and scheduling conflicts, which made it difficult to continue commuting while balancing school and other professional responsibilities.
