From 2017 to 2019, I managed two salons, one in the assisted living building and the other next door in the main retirement home. It was there that my love and compassion for the elderly really grew. I relocated to a different state in 2019 and I started caring for a lady in her home. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020 and sadly passed away in 2021. By that time, her husband had been diagnosed with alzheimer's, and their children wanted me to stay on to help him. I am currently, still working for the same family as now this gentleman can not drive and is a tremendous fall risk. I am not only his daytime caregiver, but his cook, driver, business, and house manager. I know that I am supposed to move to Vista, California this coming late October/early November 2025, for such a time as this!
