About Silvana

I truly love children. I started my career as a teacher for 7 years at a French immersion school. (Fluent in French, Italian, and some ASL) I ran the after school program and taught preschool through second grade -- and loved it! Then I became a mom so I pivoted to full-time mother and small business owner so I could be present for my daughter(now 14). I now have a son as well (4 years) and find myself wanting to go back to caretaking. I have experience with newborns through adolescence. My style is cheerful engagement, connection, and collaboration -- while also letting their independence and confidence grow and shine through respecting their autonomy by observing and understanding/respecting the whole child. Incorporating learning, music and play while keeping them safe and being very conscious of parental preferences. I ultimately respect what parents want and prefer for their children.
