About Silvia

I am currently seeking a part-time position while continuing my full-time role at the Texas Comptroller's office. Although I work in state government, I bring extensive childcare experience with children of all ages. I have volunteered with Neighborhood Centers, a nonprofit organization supporting at-risk youth, where I worked closely with middle and high school students. I also spent a summer in Costa Rica caring for orphaned children ages 5-8 and teaching them English. Additionally, I worked for three years at IDEA Public Schools as a co-teacher for kindergarten through second grade, and most recently at Stepping Stone Day Care, providing care for children ranging from 11 months to 5 years old. I continue to stay actively involved in childcare through my church, where I volunteer every Saturday and Sunday supporting children and families.
