Hello! My name is Sofia and I have been a nanny for 5 years. I have an associates in psychology and am a currently a psychology student at CSU East Bay and I hope to continue working with kids after I get my degree. I take classes on Tuesdays and thursdays, so ideally I'm looking to work full days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, potentially open to half days on Tuesdays and Thursdays if it's a right fit. I've worked for several families over the years, and helped care for babies and young toddlers until they are ready to transition to preschool. I especially love working with kids under 3. Helping them to learn and develop new skills is truly special. I am open to doing all kids laundry, and dishes. I am comfortable around pets in the house as well. I am happy to drive kids to local activities, or stay around the house and go for walks to the park. I have several references that I'm happy to provide. We hired Sofia to care for our 10 month old son occasionally and she was great! She is very flexible, and always arrived early. She was patient in handling his food dislikes and had creative ideas to get him to enjoy sitting at the high chair to eat his meal. She brought fun craft projects from home for him to do and was quick in adapting to engage with him. She has a gentle and calm demeanor and we felt our son was safe and secure with her. She's very easy going and great to communicate with which was essential to us since both parents work from home.
