About Sommer

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I will graduate with my M. S. Ed. in Instructional Coaching and Teacher Leadership in Summer 2026! I am licensed to teach in Indiana, and I have 7 years of classroom teaching experience, and almost a year of 1:1 tutoring experience. I have 120+ hours of training in science of reading practices. I provide quality, engaging, structured, game-based reading, writing, and math instruction so that children can become more confident and competent learners! One thing you should know about me is I do not give up. I won't give up on your child, and I won't give up on myself. I am constantly growing and in pursuit of best practice. I am creative, I am diligent, and I want every student I work with to grow to the point where they do not need me any more. My skills include early literacy skills, arts integration, and game-based learning.
