About Sophia

I am a patient, creative, 22 yr old teacher who values building bonds with children in my care. Being a trusted adult role model is a huge responsibility--one that I take seriously! I have over three years of childcare experience, most recently running a 1-year-old class at a daycare. They teach me every day about finding the little joys in life; what other job do you jump for joy over artwork or cool rocks?! I am passionate about incorporating sign language to promote clear communication at an early age. I frequently research child development on my own time to ensure I am teaching in an effective and positive way. My favorite activities to do include process art (although I love a milestone hand/footprint), messy play, and outdoor play. My motto is to embrace the chaos!
