I am passionate about empowering students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. As someone who navigates ADHD, I am motivated to help young people see it as a strength. I assess learning styles by listening and observing initial interactions with new material. I adapt my teaching with visual aids, activities, discussions, and practice problems. I keep students engaged by breaking down complex problems and encouraging curiosity. I also challenge students to see their learning through a holistic lens. Communication is essential for understanding needs, building trust, and setting expectations. Regular updates help parents stay informed. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. With a graduate degree and one year of experience, I can help with English, Art, Music & Drama, Study Skills, and History. I am comfortable tutoring at various locations and hold certifications in CPR and First Aid.
