I'm looking for a tutoring role where I can support students with diverse learning styles and help them feel confident and engaged. I started teaching piano when I realized I wanted to share my love of music with students. I found that I enjoy tutoring and teaching, so I'm expanding into other subjects as well. In my spare time, I like to crochet and play music. One thing you should know about me is I'm part of the LGBTQ community, so I have deep empathy for folks who face barriers in life and do my best to support students of all backgrounds. I hired Sterling 2 years ago for piano lessons for my now 14 year old child. I cannot recommend him enough! He is very patient, flexible, thorough, and accommodating. My child can be shy and hesitant, but Sterling has helped him find his confidence, to the point that my child is comfortable and confidant playing piano for an audience. Lessons are a perfect balance of teaching technical skill, while also allowing my child to explore his own creativity. We look forward to many more years with Sterling!
