About Summer

Hello. I'm Summer a 45 yr old Montgomery native and recent graduate of Food and Nutrition from the Univ. of Alabama. I am a mother of 3 healthy daughters who I had the pleasure of homeschooling while we lived abroad in Kuwait until the COVID pandemic brought us back to Birmingham, AL in 2021. Although I was not paid for raising or teaching my daughters... those 9 years definitely count towards quality childcare experience. Outside of the Abeka curriculum, I taught them to swim, to cook, to be responsible drivers and citizens, how to travel internationally, and to serve as volunteers to name a few. As a result, my oldest daughter graduated homeschool with honors and was awarded a merit scholarship to Univ. of Montevallo. My middle daughter graduated Oak Mt. High with honors and earned a merit scholarship to UAB where she plays flag football and soccer. And my youngest daughter is a 7th grader at Oak Mt. Middle and loves being a teen and studies acting in her free time.
