I am a Christian and I have given care to the elderly for more than 6 years at the facilities and private homes. Patience allows you to support them calmly and compassion helps you connect on a human level. Communication Skills - Clear, respectful communication is key for building trust with seniors and their families. This includes active listening, speaking simply and kindly, and noticing nonverbal cues. Dependability & Safety Awareness - Families rely on caregivers to be consistent, trustworthy, and alert to health or safety concerns (like fall risks, medication reminders, or changes in behavior).
