About Suzanne

I like tutoring because I enjoy helping students improve their skills, grow their confidence, and (hopefully) become excited about learning. I'm looking for a job in which I can help a student to think outside the box and take a new approach to studying, reading, and writing. I started tutoring when I was in college. My professional career in education has focused on tutoring and working one-on-one with students in academic support roles. I spent two decades working in a college academic support center. In my spare time, I like to cook and bake. I enjoy hiking and Nordic skiing. I love to read, garden, and spend time with friends and my adult children. One thing you should know about me is I am easy going, and I have worked with students at many levels and across all ages. I work hard to meet students where they are and take them to the next level. My skills include active listening, endless patience, and adaptability to different situations.
