Having Suzanne care for your loved one is like winning the lottery. She has spent this summer caring for my 77 year old husband who has advanced Parkinson’s Disease. She is an amazing caretaker, having had extensive experience working with people with declining physical and mental health, all of which was evident by her cheerful disposition and thoughtful and kind approach to care. Suzanne understood my husband’s resistance to help and gave him his space, allowing him to maintain some independence. But she also took him on walks to keep his legs from stiffening, and quickly earned his trust so that she could help bath him and help him with toileting. Additionally, Suzanne was extremely helpful to me. She voluntarily vacuumed, did laundry and walked the dog. A native to South County, she was a treasure trove of information about the area and she took us on some beautiful scenic drives. Suzanne is a delightful person to have around. I will miss her this fall when we return to our home in NYC.
