About Sydney

Hello all! I'm a kind, smart, funny 23-year-old art history student at UNCC graduating in the fall. I have spent the last eight years helping my mom take care of my grandmother with Alzheimer's. I took care of her all throughout her progression with Alzheimers, so I've had to provide many different types of care. I prepared meals, drove her to her daycare, dressed and changed pull-ups, and then eventually spoon fed her, changed her diapers, and bathed her in her hospital bed. In the early stages we would walk, color, sing, garden, and read together. After her passing last year, I realized that there was a hole in my life because for the first time in a long time I wasn't caring for someone. I would love the chance to work with other seniors and show them the same care and compassion that I showed my own grandmother for so many years! While I don't have paid experience with seniors, I have paid experience with children and personal experience with seniors.
