My background is in Occupational Therapy Assistant for six years with the elderly population. I have also volunteered with the elderly without family and who may need someone to watch out for their overall well-being. I am extremely compassionate and patient with this population. Throughout their years, they have taken care of others. Now, they may need someone to do the same for them. This population shares so much history and stories to share. Even though I may be assisting with taking care of someone, he/she can teach me a lot about life sometimes. I am just a piece of the puzzle in their life being positive, re-assuring, caring, and respectful. I believe in the Golden Rule, "Treat others as you want to be treated." Not to mention that I may need someone to help take care of me one day in one or many ways. I love the elderly (although strangers at first), just as I do my own family. I am genuine, compassionate, patient and love helping others.
