One can find skills or knowledge, compassion or problem solving, and Tammy brings all of these, but the attribute that many are lacking is the ability or desire to see the person in care as a PERSON. This, above all, is what makes Tammy a unique treasure. She sees who they are, what they want as well as what they need. She's gentle and kind, incredibly multi-talented and skilled. My mom was helpless after a stroke at 98;still 'in there', but entirely dependent. Mom had been a nurse and did not suffer fools. She did not enjoy the company of many, but she adored Tammy. I didn't leave Mom very often, but when I did, Tammy was the only person on the planet that I, or Mom, trusted with her 24 hour care. I trusted her with my mother's well-being, as I trust her with my life. There is none better in this role.
