About Tawny

I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, along with endorsements in fourth and fifth grade and reading, and a certificate in teacher leadership. I have worked with children of all ages toddler through seventh grade, both inside and outside the classroom. I have also worked in special education classrooms, as an aide for a child with Downs Syndrome, and as a live-in nanny for two toddlers. Throughout college, I worked at an after-school tutoring program helping elementary school students in the Marietta area with their homework and ran a church nursery. After college, I taught all subjects to a small group of 6th and 7th graders with varying needs, took a break from teaching to nanny two toddlers, and then taught fifth grade Reading and Social Studies for three years before leaving teaching to nanny again. I have been substitute teaching in multiple grade levels Pre-K through high school for the past year as well.
