About Teresa

My experience caring for children started at an early age. I babysat siblings, cousins, family friends, and neighbors while in junior high, high school, and college. I obtained a Bachelor's degree, and after working for a few years, have decided to pursue a career in speech-language pathology, in which I must possess a Master's degree. So, I am currently enrolled in online courses to finish up my prerequisites before being accepted into a graduate school. Since I am in school, I work about 5-7 hours a week teaching tumbling and gymnastics to children ages 16 months to 6 years old. I also currently babysit for some of the families whom I teach. My goal is to become a bilingual speech-language pathologist who is fluent in Spanish and works with children. I would love to have the opportunity to babysit children while I'm finishing up my prerequisites, as well as speak Spanish with some of them. I enjoy spending time with children, and my experience this past year as a gymnastics instructor has taught me so much and has helped me to better interact with children. This year, I have become certified in CPR and First Aid.
