About Thor

Hello, I am a current middle school math teacher in Jefferson County. I have 14 years experience teaching elementary and middle school students. I am a patient, kind individual that has built a career believing that every student can learn and be highly successful when given the right tools and support. I like tutoring because I get to work individually with students, and see the moment that they light up when something clicks in their brains! I also love explaining the why behind concepts so that there is lasting and transferable knowledge. I'm looking for a job where I get to work with kids needing that extra boost from concepts being taught in school. In my spare time, I like to play basketball, run, watch movies, or try a new restaurant. One thing you should know about me is that I am committed and innovative in my approach. I am well rounded but I have strength a in math, ELA, and executive functioning strategies.
