I've always felt a deep respect and compassion for seniors, especially because of my experience caring for my grandmother back home in Vietnam. When she developed dementia, I had to learn how to support her with patience, understanding, and love. That experience taught me not only practical caregiving skills, but also the emotional importance of being present and kind. In Vietnamese culture, we grow up knowing that elders cared for us when we were young-and it's our responsibility to care for them as they age. My grandparents passed away some time ago, but whenever I meet older people, I'm reminded of them. That connection inspires me to offer help, companionship, and care to seniors whenever I can.
