This is a criminal background check required for all caregiver before they can message families.
Experience: 10 yrs
When I was 17, my grandfather came to live with us. He no longer could care for himself or be alone. My mother and I took care of him for nine years. His mental health and physical capabilities deteriorated more over those years. His room was alongside of mine, at night he would yell out for help with everything. People with Dementia or Alzheimer's are sometimes angry, paranoid, or afraid at times for no reason. I have a lot of patience. You have to be delicate, they are transitioning from being independent to needing help eating, or just finding their bathroom. Seniors also need stimulation. The less they do, the less they can do. I recently worked with a wonderful 96-year-old man who was blind and deaf, providing him care with whatever he needed; doctor appointments, dispensing meds, haircuts, and true friendship. Upon request I could provide a reference with the family. It's a wonderful feeling to help someone.
Tina is an AMAZING person! She is compassionate, patient, kind and nurturing. On top of being reliable and flexible. Being a care taker is not an easy task, however, Tina brings her heart & professionalism into this job. I know Jason and his family is truly grateful!
