About Tina

Experience: 3 yrs

Caring for others has always come naturally to me, and for the past three years I've had the privilege of looking after my dear friend. What began as helping out here and there grew into full-time care -- preparing meals, assisting with mobility, driving her to appointments, and making sure she was comfortable and safe. I can offer the same warmth and practical help to others, whether it's personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation, or respite care. I also have experience with dementia care, adapting to changes and incorporating gentle memory activities. I keep families updated in whatever way works best for them, and I always respect a person's independence. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I truly enjoy making life a little easier and brighter for those I care for.

Letter of Recommendation for Tina 8/5/2025 Tina has lived with multiple boarders in my elderly aunt’s home in Seattle for the last five years. During this time my aunt increased Tina’s role to be the house manager, responsible for housing bills and maintenance, and managing the rental income. During this time, my aunt started developing dementia and eating difficulties, and Tina responded with increased attention and care. A year and a half ago, my aunt suffered a major fall and head injury which caused advanced dementia resulting in severe memory issues, the use of a feeding tube, and 24/7 care in her home. After initially professional care until my aunt stabilized, Tina offered, and the family easily chose to hire Tina (along with her best friend) to take over the 24/7 care of my aunt, starting about September of 2024. This effort was not simple care for my single-leg amputee aunt, who couldn’t remember what happened to her. After a year, my aunt went into Hospice, eventually becoming bed-ridden, and then passed away May 2025, all in Tina’s care. Before the fall, but with my aunt’s increasing difficulties swallowing, Tina for years would make my aunt a breakfast smoothy before going off to work herself. After my aunt’s fall, during her 24/7 home care, Tina made the extra effort to add scenic drives to see the outdoors, checking out nearby summer music performances in the park, and even my aunt’s favorite: an opera show. I personally watched Tina tuck my very sleepy aunt into bed one night, and add a tender hug, which brought a smile to my aunt’s face. She was often up in the night when my aunt would try to get out of bed, not remembering that she couldn’t do that on her own. She took my aunt to the emergency room several times, when a troublesome feeding tube kept coming out; once at 1am when she had a morning obligation on the next day (her day off); still cheery at 2am when I was able to get there and send her home. During this time, Tina from the beginning consistently displayed a “what-ever-it-takes” attitude to meet my aunt’s increasing care needs. She did this with the utmost care and compassion. Tina also displayed thoughtful attention to details (the first to notice the onset of an allergic reaction to one of her new medications, for example). The family has always considered Tina unquestionably trustworthy and genuinely caring for my aunt without any doubts. My aunt was lucky to have her. We can’t thank her enough… In my opinion, Tina would be a responsible trustworthy employee in whatever she pursues, and with our experience, unquestionably proven for home health care. Bill
