About Valentine

Howdy! I'm a childcare professional and teaching artist who loves creating art-based, inclusive, hands-on experiences for kiddos. I center youth voice, creativity, and supporting each child's unique identity through play and connection. My work is trauma-informed and anti-oppressive. I have experience working with queer and trans youth and children of color, and I'm committed to creating affirming, welcoming spaces where kids feel safe, seen, and valued. Having a background in therapeutic art practices, I weave art, storytelling, and creative projects into our time together to build confidence and emotional skills while keeping things engaging. My behavior approach is relationship-centered and rooted in transformative justice. I see behavior as communication and respond with empathy, clear boundaries, co-regulation, and collaborative problem-solving.
