About Valerie

Hello! I'm Miss Val, owner of Miss Val's Daycare, located in South Utica near Jones Elementary School. I'm a New York State licensed family daycare provider offering care for up to four children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years. My program maintains a smaller child-to-caregiver ratio than average, allowing me to provide each child with individualized attention and a calm, nurturing environment. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and bring over 15 years of childcare experience to my work. I'm also CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring your child's safety and well-being at all times. My approach is grounded in patience and structure. I believe young children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and connected. I aim to build strong relationships and work best with families who value open communication, collaboration, and daily structure, as these are the foundations for helping children develop the secure attachments and confidence they need to flourish.
