About Valerie

Hi! I'm Valerie: former teacher, writer, artist, and creative caregiver. I enjoy being present with others and helping. I spent nearly a year in an aircast boot while living abroad alone, a humbling experience that helps me empathize with others. For clients who want entertainment, I am happy to practice circusy skills and put on shows, play games of all kinds, read aloud with fun voices, play music, do art and craft projects, and empower others to play in whatever ways are accessible. As a yoga and laughter yoga leader, I enjoy helping people care for their bodies and laugh as a health practice. I never have a shortage of things that I could talk about with clients who wish to socialize. I'm a lifelong learner and creator. I design games, and I write poems, songs, and stories with monkey characters. Since moving back to Florida to be near family, I'm seeking caring work where I can invest my energy and continue perfecting and personalizing my caregiving practice.
