I am certified to teach Middle Grades ELA, K-12 ESOL, K-12 Special Education, and K-12 Reading in the state of Georgia. I've taught students with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, ADHD, Speech/Language Impairments, and Autism. I've also taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA in the general education setting and to English Language Learners. I'm fluent in Spanish! I also have training in Orton-Gillingham (Intermediate level). I'm currently taking a break from teaching, but I miss helping kiddos learn and grow! One thing I love about tutoring is being able to create unique plans catered to each child's individual needs and learning styles. I believe successful teaching starts with careful planning. I put in the work on the front end to make sure each child gets the most out of our sessions. I have a positive and enthusiastic attitude, a "tool box" full of strategies and resources I've acquired over the years, and a proven track record of student growth and achievement!

Veronica is an extremely kind hearted and trustworthy caregiver to our 4 year old son, who has special needs and our 10 month old daughter. She is patient with the children and does not get flustered when the kids are crying or are frustrated. She is always punctual and only called out once for an emergency over the several months she worked with us. Even on that instance, she was able to come in a little later, because we had a doctors appointment for one of the children. Do not hesitate to hire Veronica.
