About Victoria

Victoria (Tori) is an exceptional nanny who is creative, caring, patient, punctual, and professional. We currently have a daughter who is a little under four and a son who is a little over two. Tori became our full-time nanny two and a half years ago when our daughter was one and half and our son was due in three months. With both children now starting preschool in January, we are unfortunately having to part ways not just with a nanny, but with what feels more like a family member. If you have the opportunity to land Tori as the nanny to your children, do it, you will not be disappointed! Tori is a professional who is always five minutes early, communicates exceptionally effectively, and will make you aware of any PTO needs well in advance. She takes advice and feedback to the heart and will make sure she understands what you want, and that your wishes are being met. A recent example of this was when we asked her to please help our daughter write her name, and within about a month, she was writing it legible enough for anyone to read what it says. She also helps around the house when time permits, and it is beyond valuable. With two kids and nap times and durations changing, this fluctuated a lot with us, but she has helped with everything from meal prep and dishes to laundry and help organizing kids toys and supplies. Tori’s arts and craft skills are top notch second to none. Match that with her creative nature and patience, and you have activities that the kids thoroughly enjoy and wall hangings that parents love. This is especially awesome and useful around the holidays when Tori will happily work with your children to create gifts / cards for the whole family and any other close family friends. Some standard arts and crafts would be: • Coloring with crayons / markers • Painting on the easel • Playdoh • Kids science kits • Educational activity books and puzzles • Stickers • Tattoos • Glue sticks • Kiddie scissors (daughter) • Making cards and other holiday crafts • Probably way more I’m not thinking of Tori also take the best photos of the kids! (If you want her to that is. She was very considerate about learning our preferences up front. We said the more pics the better, and I’m glad we did!) Her photography skills are even more impressive given the fact that it is very rare that we actually see her with her phone out taking pictures of them. Very sneaky! Along with arts and crafts, Tori was great at getting the kids outside and getting them moving. Most days, she would walk a mile plus to the park and back (while pulling a wagon / stroller) with them to play at the playground. Other activities include helping them ride bikes, playing in the playhouse, bubbles, chalk, jump rope, and even setting up the inflatable pools in the backyard and making sure that everyone had good, safe, fun. The main thing that we care about and ask ourselves is simple - Are the kids happy? Are the kids safe? We were always able to confidently answer these question with a YES! There wasn’t any time over the last two and a half years that I had to question whether or not either one of the kids were happy and/or safe. I always knew the answers to those questions and felt comfortable and happy knowing that Tori was with the kids. If we could continue using Tori, we 100% would. But as our kids enter this new chapter of their lives, we are excited for Tori and her next adventure, and even more excited for the next family who has the pleasure of employing her as their nanny.
