About Virginia

I worked for the prestigious Institute of Reading Development and have tutored dozens of children on beginning reading, comprehension and testing skills. I use the simple concepts used by the Institute that have been proven over decades of use to rapidly build reading confidence and competence. For beginning readers I teach an original song I wrote that covers all of the letter phonics sounds. The Letter Sound Song is funny and unforgettable, making learning to read fun and fast. I love helping children of all ages learn to love reading and hope you will give me that opportunity with your child. I also teach reading comprehension and test-taking skills, which can rapidly resolve difficulties and conflict between parents and kids over low grades.
