I have over 29 years working with children. I have Autism and Dyslexia, myself. I was one of the first children given an IEP and was told I would never learn to read. I have 4 different certifications; Art, Middle School Math, K-8, and Special Needs. My diet job was at Milestone. I was paid by ARC. I would go into homes and let the families take care of their needs. I prefer to work with Special Needs kids. It is a vocation to me. I love to help them smooth out and feel more comfortable in their skin and work on academics with them. I taught at PS 25 Nicolaus Copernicus for 8 years as the 8th Grade Math Teacher, then 18 years as the 7th grade teacher at Academy 1 for gifted kids. Now, I teach the cognitive moderate with autism at Academy 1. I love working with challenging kids, as they need love and direction. I am available after school and the weekends.
