About Xueting

Hi! My name is Leah. I'm an incoming PhD student in Counseling Psychology at UT, and I'm looking for part-time babysitting gigs to help cover bills and debts on top of my stipend. I have 5+ years of experience working with kids as a former middle school teacher and professional school counselor in Maryland. I got my master's degree in counseling. I have a car, play a few instruments, and can help with cooking, pet-sitting, homework, or light household tasks. I'm very independent, handy, and good at following instructions, so throw me a task and I'll get it done! I'm very big on building non-judgmental and trusting relationships with both parents and kids. I always make sure that I show up with empathy and curiosity even when kids have challenging behaviors. My patient and creative side allows me to connect with children naturally, providing a nurturing and imaginative environment for their learning and play.
