Experience: 10 yrs
For the past 10 years, I've been dedicated to nurturing children's growth and development, making a positive impact on their lives, and supporting families by providing reliable care. I'm patient, calm, creative, friendly, and approachable. I communicate with parents through verbal updates at pickup, regular texts, or phone calls, always following your preferred method. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, puzzles, and educational games with children. I am comfortable caring for one child. I have a high school degree, First Aid Training, CPR Training, and Early Child Development Coursework. I'm also comfortable with pets. I am willing to help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. Knowing I can contribute to a child's well-being brings me immense joy, and I hope to bring that same care and dedication to your family.
Zahra has been our full-time nanny for over 2 years, and she’s one of the most special people to have touched our lives. Our son was just 3 months old when she joined our family and our daughter was 3 years old. From the time we interviewed her, what struck us was her effectiveness with which she bonded with our 3 year old and how she got her to listen to directions, which isn’t easy with a 3 year old who was experiencing all sorts of changes from having a new baby brother to changes in caretakers. Zahra stayed true to that effectiveness in how she handles 2 children that are now 2 and 5 years old. She helped raise our son beautifully and with a lot of love from the time he was an infant to now a preschooler. When parents are looking for a nanny to take care of their children in their absence, nothing is more important than knowing that their nanny will care for their children as if her own, and Zahra always treated them like she’d her own children, with complete attention to the kids every moment she was with them. She’s remarkably punctual, and is very structured and organized in how she plans out the day with the kids so they have physical. educational and fun activities throughout the day. She can tirelessly engage with our kids all day with a childlike enthusiasm and energy. During kids’ nap times, there's not a moment she wastes in helping out in the house with laundry, dishes, meal prep & general tidying up, which speaks to her effectiveness further. Her generosity towards our family has been incredible from showering kids with educational toys or puzzle to sharing wonderful food she cooks and bakes at her home with us. She wouldn't hear of our offering to pay for them. Her patience with the kids and genuine love she has for them shows in how attached our kids are to her, and miss her when we go on vacations. Zahra has become such an integral part of our family, that it is heartbreaking that we are at a phase where we no longer need her full-time, but we find solace in the fact that another wonderful family could be as lucky as we were to have her in their lives.
