I have been nanny/babysitting for 3 years now. I love working with kids because it gives me a place to use my naturally playful and nurturing instincts. I am grateful to be someone that can play at their level but also guide them to be the best version of themselves. I have worked with a wide range of ages from 5 months to 10 years old. I am also certified in Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. This fall I'm attending college at GSU majoring in early childhood education. I enjoy the bold, curious, and adventurous tendencies of children. To encourage these tendencies I make learning fun by singing, planning crafting activities, and spending time outdoors. On personal days I spend my time reading, hiking, doing yoga, cooking vegan foods and taking various classes. I am open to occasional sitting but I prefer a part time position (30 hours a week). I feel most comfortable with gentle parenting methods.

Zariyah is, by far, the best sitter I’ve ever had. I work from home and I hired Zariyah to watch my 15 month old very active, very busy great niece while I worked. From the very first day, my niece took a liking to her, and she would literally jump off the couch to run to the front door greet her when she heard the ring camera ringing, and hold her arms up for Zariyah to pick her up. Zariyah has a very calm, even keel spirit and I believe my niece picked up on her energy. She’s patient, and on more than one occasion brought or bought gifts that she thought would help keep my niece engaged. She would also help out in other ways (braid my nieces hair, bring Amazon packages in from my front porch…I have osteoarthritis in my knees) and was very flexible. If my Niece wasn’t ready for her to go to daycare, Zariyah would still be here. She was great! Hire her!
