About Zofia

Hello Parents and Caregivers! I'm Zofia, a passionate NYC DOE Special Education teacher of 5 years with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Early Childhood Education, both from Columbia University. I have been a paid babysitter for over a decade, and now bring the same patience, creativity, and high standard of care I've honed in the classroom into every babysitting job. I am certified to work with children from infancy through 2nd grade, and am both child and infant CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. I am also certified to work with children with disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, Speech-Language impairments, and other health impairments. My philosophy is rooted in joy, empathy, and love of learning. Utilizing a whole-child approach, I'm able to navigate tricky situations with consistency and patience- Whether it's conflicts at the playground, homework woes, navigating big feelings, or even just getting those pajamas on!
