In the midst of that, Timothy started learning percussion with private and public school teachers in junior high and continued formal education in percussion all the way through highschool and the first year of college learning from a total of 7 different teachers. He then began learning piano at the college level for the remaining 3 years of my undergraduate studies where he learned from 3 different teachers and finished his schooling off with a 10 month masters program in music composition for film and media from the Seattle Film Institute. With a year of teaching experience under his belt, Tim has become a very practical person which means that He’s going to teach you what he thinks you need to know based on your personal musical goals. Another thing you should know about Tim is that he stutters (which is a genetic speech impediment), but he makes up for it by making his instructions and answers to your questions detailed and thorough. Formal Education: Percussion: 2 years of Junior high education, 4 years of high school education, and 1 year of college level education. Piano: 1 year of group piano lessons. 3 years of College level education Private Education: Percussion: 7 years of private education with 3 different teachers. Piano: 3 years of private education by 2 different teachers. Guitar: 10 years of private education by 2 different teachers. Performing Experience: Percussion: 7 years of band, percussion ensemble, and solo percussion performing experience. Piano: 3 years of ensemble and solo performance experience. Experience Teaching: Created beginner technique tutorials for piano, guitar, and percussion. Has taught 5 guitar students, 5 piano students, and 1 drums student and is continuing to gain experience as time goes on.
