He received a Bachelor in Music for composition in 1998 from the State University of New York at Fredonia. His love of teaching led to a Master of Arts in teaching English as a Foreign Language from the University of Birmingham in the UK in 2015. He is interested in teaching students who are just starting their interest in piano. Sometimes he writes music for his students to help them learn specific musical items that may be difficult to learn-this helps them learn and creates momentum for their studies.
