He was musically active throughout high school and before graduating was awarded the John Philip Sousa and Louis Armstrong Band Awards. He was also accepted to both the All State Symphonic and Jazz Bands three times. In 2005, Dave was awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. At Berklee, Dave studied intensely with Mike Mangini, Dave DiCenso, and Kim Plainfield. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Professional Music. Dave got his first taste of life on the road in 2007 when he was hired by funk/jam band Solution for their Armed Forces Entertainment World Tour. The tour took the band through 10 countries in Europe and Asia, including The Netherlands, Russia, Kyrghyzstan, Afghanistan, Qatar, Djibouti (Africa), United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Switzerland. Outside of recording and performing, Dave teaches private lessons on drums, guitar, and bass. * Formal Education: Bachelor of Arts in Professional Music, Berklee College of Music - Boston, Class of 2009 Magna Cum Laude. Private Education: Studied with Mike Mangini (Extreme, Steve Vai), Dave Dicenso (John Petrucci, Hiromi), Terri Lyne Carrington (Herbie Hancock) in Boston, MA. Performing Experience: Performing since 1993, International touring experience of 10 countries, 4 continents.
