Drew's Music Lessons (Piano)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Brooklyn, NY
Years of Experience: 2 yrs Location Options: In Studio, In Home Travel Radius: 2 Genres: Blues, Jazz Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Keyboard and Piano Lessons Overview: I've been into music since the age of 2, that's when I was given my first drum set. noodled with a few different instruments from about ages 6-10 old (the harmonica, trumpet, piano, drums). Later became serious about singing, playing piano and drums at the age of 10 and counting. I then later picked up bass, steel string, nylon, and electric guitars. Now of days the instruments that I am most consistent with are Piano,Vocals, acoustic nylon guitars, bass electric guitars as well as some drums. Which allow me to continue my pursuit for a career in film and TV scoring. Formal Education: I've had some college experience with a few courses in music which involved reading sheet music and music history at ECSU and HCC. I was once a sports management major at that particular time. Once I've gotten a taste for those music courses and spent most of my time with music, I then became a music major in music composition. I'm currently not in school at the moment but am in pursuit of my career. Private Education: Most of my musical knowledge that I've obtained ; comes from late nights to early mornings, hard work and dedication to studying as much material as humanly possible. My dedication to learning new material continues everyday till this very day. This method of learning has allowed me to make up for plenty of lost time in and out of school. Performing Experience: I've grown up singing in gospel choirs since the age of 13 along with some singing in a school choir at SHU. I've been gigging on piano since the age of 18. I'm currently gigging at a local church here in Brooklyn, Ny which allows me to stay sharp with my playing and musical knowledge; this is due to the spontaneity of services. Experience Teaching: My first piano student was at the age of 21 and my student's age 21. I am now 22 and currently teach three students which are ages 4,10 and 22.
