About Alison

I am a professionally certified K-6 teacher with years of experience teaching and tutoring at the secondary level as well. I have been involved in tutoring programs through my school district(s) where I have provided support to students of varying needs, whether that would be with reading intervention needs, math support, test prep, challenging high potential learners, and everything in between. I possess a wealth of background knowledge in a variety of subjects as well as training and experience in teaching critical thinking skills. I am Orton Gillingham trained and well-versed in implementing the science of reading for young and/or struggling readers. I frequently tap into my repertoire of knowledge and materials acquired through years of teaching in order to provide the most targeted support for your young learner.
