About Alondra

I worked as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in a post-acute facility. Every day I cared for patients who were in that in between stage no longer needed hospital level care but not yet ready to go home. I saw how vulnerable people can be during the recovery process especially older adults recovering from surgery, strokes or living with chronic diseases. Some days were physically draining but it was the emotional moments that spoke to me the most. Walking a patient for their first steps post hip replacement or just sitting with someone who was confused and scared. I learned to be patient, to truly listen and to advocate for someone when they couldn't. This experience has shown me how much patients trust us and how little things we do can be so powerful. It's what made me know I don't want to stop growing in this field and show up for people when they need me most.
