About Amanda

My name is Amanda! I am a former teacher with a valid state certification. I have taught in 4th-6th grade, all subjects. Currently, I work for a tutoring company where I manage programs to make sure each student is being met where they are at and getting the necessary tools and resources in order to be their most successful selves! I would love to tutor your student or supplement home-school learning. I'd describe my personality as understanding, encouraging, and relatable. I like tutoring because I love to see students build their confidence and know that they CAN do hard things! I'm looking for a job that allows me to use my experience in education outside of a regular classroom. I started tutoring when I left the classroom to help students on a more individualized basis. In my spare time, I like to hangout with my family, golf, and read. One thing you should know about me is I will always do what is best for the students. My skills include math, reading, and writing.
