A former classroom teacher with 20 years of private language arts tutoring, I have worked with students from K-High School including children diagnosed with dyslexia, ADD/ADHD and speech disorders. Each lesson I provide is individually tailored to the child's learning style, where I employ a multi-sensory approach with a focus on the child's psychological state in order to best support them. For example, I may use music or experiential approaches so a student can internalize the material they are learning. I find joy in building rapport so I can support their learning and growth and foster the student's self-esteem. I am extremely dedicated and invested in the children I teach. I possess current classroom and reading specialist credentials, and also hold a Master's in Social Work degree. I have received the Sweetheart Award from the Palo Alto Unified School District, and one of my tutorees has received The Most Improved Student Award from Santa Rita School in Los Altos, Ca.
