Hello! My name is Brighid and I am an educator who has worked as a tutor and instructor for private families as well as in school settings. I have tutored a wide range of kids from ages 5 to 17. Subject areas: math (elementary through precalculus), science, reading and writing, and social studies. I've been tutoring for over 6 years and have been in childcare for over 9 years. My teaching philosophy emphasizes exploring concepts from the beginning, in order to understand the whole picture. I believe it is essential to lead students to small academic wins through encouragement, consistency, and patience in order to help them grow into lifelong learners. We hired Brighid to manage our Pod of 6 4th graders during distance learning. She has been an amazing attribute to our group.
