About Carol

I enjoy helping students find the 'aha!' moments when learning, especially in math. Helped daughter of a of colleague during covid and she went from a D to a B+. Previous tutoring has been on a volunteer basis. I'd describe my personality as focused, determined and honest. I like tutoring because I like helping people learn and build confidence in themselves and their life skills. I'm looking for a job where I can make a difference in the life of someone. I started tutoring when I was in high school. I tutored at an elementary school where inner city were bused. It was fun to see progress in a short period of time! In my spare time, I like to hike and take photographs. I also enjoy reading. One thing you should know about me is I'll do my very best to help each student and will be honest about progress. If I don't think I'm the right person, I will let you know. My skills include patience, determination ability to make subject relevant.
