About Darcey

Hello! My name is Darcey and I'm a current third grade teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Elementary Education and an area of emphasis in Mathematics. I have over 5 years of experience working with children in preschool settings and academic camps, and Mcps elementary schools. I truly love helping students grow both academically and personally. I have experience creating my own curricular programs, adapting lessons, and supporting students in mastering grade-level skills. I'm very familiar with reviewing the specific academic standards required at each grade level and preparing students to not only meet but excel in their school curriculum. I offer support in all core subjects, with particular strengths in math and early literacy, and I can design engaging lessons or provide direct help with homework, test prep, and foundational skills.
