About Elizabeth

Learning is a journey. I'm passionate about guiding students along the way! With a graduate degree in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) and experience tutoring up to and including Sophomore year of high school, I focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I actively listen to students and vary my teaching strategies to suit their individual learning styles, which usually translates into better grades ( a key aspect to students feeling better about themselves and going on to higher learning). I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrate small successes, and break down complex problems into manageable steps. Communication is key, so I strive to build trust through a collaborative environment. The most rewarding part of tutoring is a student's "aha!" moment. I am comfortable tutoring students of all ages in Math, English, Science, Test Prep, Foreign Language, Special Education, and Study Skills. Learning can change your life, let's get started!
