About Emily

With over 10 years of tutoring experience and a passion for fostering a love of learning, I specialize in helping students build confidence and excel in reading. I hold a teaching certification, a teacher of the year title, and have spent 7 years teaching. This includes 1 year teaching kindergarten and 5 years in 4th grade. Currently, I am a dedicated reading specialist, using my expertise to guide students in improving their literacy skills. I am a published author of Finding Joy, a children's book that encourages young readers to discover the beauty in life's small moments. Whether tutoring in literacy I create personalized, engaging lessons that address each student's unique needs. Since my role as a teacher is intervention, I have access to science of reading materials proven to work. I know time spent with me will help your child improve their reading skills. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, empowering, and meaningful for every child I work with.
