Worked in nursing homes for 2 years, paid experience with those with memory care issues. Comfortable with medication handling and assisting with feeding. Knowledgeable of specialty diets and able to prepare meals. Able to assist with daily grooming and dressing, but unable to bathe and assist with bathroom hygiene unless they are primarily independent in those tasks. In the past, I have been able to help with bathing, I am just unable to perform those tasks solo anymore due to risks towards the patient (would be willing to assist if another caregiver is present or the patient has the ability to stand freely.) I am willing and have worked with hospice nurses before. In the past, I have worked with and am comfortable in assisting postmortem plans and working with families to assist with funeral planning
