About Jane

I'd describe my personality as thorough, empathetic, and creative. I like tutoring because when I work with students in a one-to-one setting, I can tailor lessons and coaching to the student's precise academic levels, their interests, strengths, and areas of needed growth. It is rewarding to witness growth at a more rapid pace than student progress within a full class setting. In my spare time, I like to listen to audiobooks, catch up with old friends, watercolor, cook international cuisine and play with my cat, Miss Penny Lane. One thing you should know about me is that parent involvement is crucial, particularly when working on executive function skills. My skills include supporting students in - strengthening academic executive function skills (study skills, self advocacy, organization, time management). - the writing process and essay writing, as well as literary analysis and responding to text. - research and presentation / public speaking.
